After spending a few delightful days in County Mayo, Jen and I headed south along the coast to Galway, stopping frequently to capture the breathtaking scenery with our cameras. The Irish coastline is undeniably one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen. We arrived in Galway early in the afternoon, settled into a place arranged by a friend, and then explored downtown. We enjoyed dinner and a few pints of Guinness in the bustling pubs, where live bands added to the vibrant atmosphere.

The next morning, we set off early for the Dingle Peninsula, where Jen had booked us a stay at a charming Bed & Breakfast. The drive was scenic, with several stops along the way to appreciate the views. Upon arriving in Dingle, we checked into our B&B and relaxed for a bit before heading out to dine at a local pub—a wonderful opportunity to mingle with the friendly locals known for their great sense of humor.
The following day was chilly and slightly damp, perfect for driving around the Dingle Peninsula. We took a short hike, captured many photos, and then explored the quaint town of Dingle. We spent hours walking around, visiting shops, enjoying lunch, and just soaking in the charming local vibe.
On our last morning, we woke up before dawn and quickly set off from Dingle, which is quite far south, to Dublin. Our journey included a brief stop at the Rock of Cashel to tour the imposing castle. Then, it was a race against time to return the rental car, which we managed with time to spare.
We each took some time to say our farewells to Dublin—Jen with a long walk through the city, and I with one last pint of Guinness. Jen flew back to San Francisco the next morning, and that evening, I boarded a bus bound for London, ready for the next chapter of my journey.
